Routines, Habits & Rituals
Routines, habits, and rituals are all created through repetition. An automatic routine or habit becomes a ritual when we consciously choose and bring intention to what we are doing. This adds another layer of impact and creation.
Morning Ritual Exercise:
Do you have a morning routine you do every day?
If yes, how can you bring more satisfaction to it as a ritual vs. routine? Why are you doing your daily routine? What are the elements? Are they automatic and mindless or is there a reason? How can you add or take away elements that make it more meaningful? Decide on some changes and do them for a week. Does this change your day? How?
If no, for a week create a morning ritual that is meaningful to you for one hour. What is your intention for the day? Start each day with the same elements, in the same order for the first hour of your day. Get up at the same time. How does it feel? Does it change your day?
